Classical is Awesome.

I love classical. So how about you?
Do you like classical songs?
Heard of Beethoven Virus?
I'm so obsessed with the Korean Series. You can watch it from TV8 or internet.
I'm lucky enough that the show will end before SPM.
Only 19 Episodes in total.
In fact, I think Beethoven Virus is much more better than Nodame Cantabile.

I'm actually lazy to write down the synopsis. So I'll just copy and paste.

In Beethoven Virus, ....
Kang Gun Woo is an orchestra conductor in his 40’s. He is an elite workaholic conductor who has a very bad reputation. He is known as someone who will do absolutely anything in order to create the very best music. However, due to his self-righteous and stubborn personality he thinks that only his thoughts are correct which makes him unable to form good relationships with those around him. He meets Du Ru Mi, a violinist, and a trumpet player who has the same name as him, and together they form a love triangle.

Great storyline, great pieces of music and ...

Great girl! Ain't she just beautiful and pretty and gorgeous and err... anymore?

Alright, here are some tunes that can be heard from the series. Download it if you like. Just click on the link.

Frankly speaking, I don't know how to define music.
But, I can say music is magic. Full of colours.
Imagine life without music.

I'm a Big Fan of You :)

I'm sure you heard of Maksim, a famous pianist.
I'm not a big fan of him, instead I prefer Jim Brickman, 47-year-old pianist and songwriter.
His pieces were awesome.
His music touches my heart and soul.
Slow, peaceful and calm pieces.
For your information, I dislike hard, rock and loud music.
That's the reason why I don't really like Maksim.

I used to listen to his songs while studying.
I need music to study. =)

He released his first album in 1994.
Now, he has 24 albums in total.
Click here for Jim Brickman's discography.

"I'm sorry Jim... I wanted to buy original albums as a support to you.
But, I couldn't find a cheap one and RM49.90 is too expensive for me."

One of my favourite songs written by Jim Brickman. =)
... I love you.
Try to get the lyrics. Feel it ... =P

If you're interested in getting his albums, click on this link.
It's in torrent file. You need a bit torrent client to download the songs.
I suggest you to use utorrent.

So far, I could only find 8 albums. 16 more to go ....
It's not easy to find his albums. =(

p/s : I love piano but too bad, I don't know how to play a piano. Any free lesson? :)

Unity In Diversity In 1 Malaysia

On September 19th, the rakyat celebrated Perayaan Bulan Kemerdekaan Yang ke-52 at Ipoh Town Hall which located 500 metres away from St.Michael's Institution. Menteri Besar Perak, Dato Seri Dr. Zambry Bin Abdul Kadir attended the function.

The Michaelian Military Band was invited as the guest band to entertain the public and YAB.
About 40 members gathered to form a small ensemble. Seniors, Form 5 helped out in this function to enrich the sound to produce the best tune for the performance.

As for me, I prefer to play flute for indoor. A picture with other 3 flutists.

The monkies in MMB.

Being a senior, I've to say the feel is totally different. Mainly because I'm just a senior and no longer a member. At least, I can still joke with them. Wai Keong you're young. =)

Michaelian Military Band was the last group to perform in the celebration. We were given a warm welcome by the public before the performance. We started with a fast piece, Secret Agent Man. Next, moving on to a classical Malay song, Hujan Di Tengah Hari. We have a short percussion solo, Samurai by the percussionists. We ended with Rasa Sayang before we conclude the day with a significant song from the MMB, Showcase for Band.

MMB in actions from side view.

Michaelian Military Band is one of the top bands in Perak with multiracial members. I'm proud with that.

Musicians blasting the last note for Secret Agent Man. Have a look at the trumpeters.

OMG, Mr. Joel. I wonder what is he doing out there? It's a public performance.
Perhaps, Joel is showing his showmanship being a trumpeter.

Right after the performance, Dato Seri Dr. Zambry went up to give his speech.
I wonder how the ministers did it. They can talk for one hour non-stop.
It would be better if they keep it short and don't repeat talking the same thing.
Dato Seri Dr. Zambry stressed on peace and 1 Malaysia.
You all should know about 1 Malaysia.
1 Malaysia - Rakyat didahulukan, Pencapaian diutamakan.

Can I ask Dato one question? You just stressed on rakyat didahulukan.
Dato oh Dato, have a look what happened right after the function.

The band came with a bus. Right after performance, half of us need to walk back to school carrying instruments...

and I need to carry the heavy snare drum with flute and stands?

Rakyat didahulukan ( People First )?
Damn. No comments.

But..
Pity the rakyat lorrr. Rakyat like me! *ahem*

p/s : I wanted to replace didahulukan with another word. But I don't want to end up taking my SPM in jail. So, I just keep for myself. =)
